Minnesota

Brayden and I had our first trip to Minnesota. We took a plane ride from Cincinnati on Monday, June 22 and returned on Saturday, June 27. We really had a great time visiting with Amy and Scott and their new baby boy Colin! He is such a cute baby. Each day Amy took us on a tour of their city here is what we did:

Tuesday we took a trip to check out the Mall of America. This mall is so big...Brayden and I were in awe of the amusement park right in the middle to the mall.

Wednesday we went to their neighborhood Park to meet up with some friends and then had a barbecue over the Dean's with more friends.

Thursday we visited the Como Zoo in Minnesota. We had a great time...it is a great zoo especially for young children. Our favorite park was the mommy and baby chimpanzees.

Friday we went downtown and met Stacey for lunch and headed over to Target Headquarters for a visit (Amy was able to show us around her office).

We really had a wonderful trip and were sad to say goodbye...but excited all at the same time to get home to daddy!

Happy Father's Day

What a wonderful day...Brayden has the best daddy in the world! We started the day going out for breakfast and then picked up Brecken and we all went on a hike at Eastfork. We came home and gave Mike his cards and explained that his present is waiting for him to pick out at Montgomery Cyclery. After Brayden's afternoon nap we headed over to the bike shop and Mike was able to test drive a couple and decided on a nice bike.

We all really had a great day!

Neighborhood Block Party

Each year our street and another get together with great food and drinks. This was Brayden's first block party. He showed up in his "Lock Up Your Daughter's" tee shirt...especially since all the babies born around his age are all girls! This year the main host's had a blow up bouncer for the kids and all the kids also seemed to migrate towards the swingset too. Some of our family was in town from Lima so they came with us to show Brayden a great time. You can also see Mike and our friends playing "French Darts" too...we really had a great time and look forward to next year's party.

Welcome To Moe's!

We decided to take Brayden to experience Moe's Southwest Grill. Wow...he really enjoys their black beans and cheese. Moe's is his first time eating out and you could tell he has already picked a favorite!

Oh Deer!

Today everyone in our neighborhood is very excited and anxious to see what happens to our newest neighbors. There are two new born deer in our neighbor's yards. One is in the front yard of our neighbor's flower bed and the other is tucked behind a large plant under the back deck of another neighbor. We are hoping their mother comes back to take them "home" soon. While they are cute they are scared and I am sure hungry too. Here are some pictures of the deer...
